Summary: The tariff revisions provide a temporary substitute index for use in Schedules 448 and 449 to calculate the Imbalance Energy Credit and Imbalance Energy Surcharge. This calculation only occurs when, for each hour, supplied power is different than customer metered energy. Due to the discontinuation of S&P Dow Jones Indices as of September 13, 2013, and to provide timely and uninterrupted service and billing to Schedules 448 and 449 customers, PSE is proposing to use the IntercontinentalExchange, Inc. Mid-Columbia Index as a temporary replacement until December 31, 2013. PSE requests less than statutory notice as of September 27, 2013.
