General rate increase request that, as originally filed, would have generated approximately $2.83 Million (6.98 percent) additional annual revenue for the collection of garbage, recycling, and yard waste in Pierce County and JBLM. The company and staff have agreed to a revised revenue requirement of $2.9 million (7.4 percent) additional annual revenue and to revised rates. The revised rates for garbage, recycling, yard waste and drop box services are higher than the original rates noticed to customers. The company provides regulated solid waste collection service to approximately 67,000 residential and commercial customers in Pierce County. The company’s last general rate increase became effective on May 1, 2020.
