Less than statutory notice request for tariff revisions in Item 230, drop box disposal fees. On January 1, 2024, drop box disposal fees, set by Recycling and Disposal Services, Inc., at the Ferndale transfer station will increase from $128.24 per ton to $134.57 (4.9 percent) per ton. Additionally, effective January 1, 2024, the city of Ferndale solid waste utility tax will decrease from 14.5 percent to 14 percent. The company serves approximately 32 drop box and 2,660 residential customers in Whatcom County. The Company's last general rate increase became effective on February 1, 2012. |
