- 09/24/1997 -- Approved (The speed limits in Wenatchee should be changed to 79 mph for passenger trains and 60 mph for freight trains in all areas of the city except between Mile Posts 1649.45 and 1652.36. The speed limit between those mile posts should be set at 45 mph for freight trains and 50 mph for passenger trains. A permanent speed restriction of 40 mph for freight trains and 45 mph for passenger trains should be noted for Mile Post 1649.3 to 1649.5. The railroads should be required to notify the Commission and the city 30 days prior to increaseing train speeds more than 10 mph above the noted permanent speed restriction.)
