Request for authorization to increase pressure on an emergency basis above 500 psig on the Kitsap tramsmission line. Authorization is sought under WAC 480-93-020, to operate gas facilities with a maximum operating pressure greater than 500 psig within 500 feet of buildings intended for human occupancy. During cold weather events, Cascade Natural Gas will temporarily raise the operating pressure of the Kitsap transmission line above 500 psig, in order to maintain service down stream. During these temporary events, Company service personnel will constantly monitor system pressure and performance for safety of operation. After severe conditions pass, the system will be returned to operation below 500 psig. |
