Summary: The Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) commences this inquiry to implement SSB 5034, Chapter 214, Laws of 2011, which requires that wastewater companies that provide "systems of sewerage" to one hundred or more customers, or at a volume of 27,000 to 100,000 gallons per day, for compensation, first obtain a certificate of public convenience and necessity and be regulated as a private utility by the UTC.
