Petition for an exemption from WAC 480-07-520 and tariff revision that would generate approximately $337,000 (1.1 percent) additional annual revenue to recover the increased cost of disposal fees for Pierce County residents and $16,000 (1.2 percent) additional annual revenue to recover the increased cost of disposal fees for Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) residents. On March 1, 2018, disposal fees will increase from $153.48 per ton to $157.38 per ton at the Pierce County Recycling, Composting and Disposal and from $104.59 per ton to $107.83 per ton at JBLM. Pierce County Refuse serves approximately 50,700 residential, 3,500 commercial, and 148 drop box garbage customers in Pierce County and approximately 4,900 residential customers on JBLM. The company's last general rate increase became effective on November 1, 2011. |
