Tariff revisions which generate approximately $14,187 (2.02 percent) additional annual revenue to recover increasing disposal fee costs. On January 1, 2021, disposal fees set by the Board of Yakima County Commissioners will increase from $34.75 per ton to $36.38 per ton at the Yakima County Landfill and Transfer Stations. The tariff revision also revises rates to reflect the increase in the state B&O tax rate from 1.5 percent to 1.75 percent (.025 percent increase) that went into effect on April 1, 2020. The Company serves approximately 3,400 garbage customers in Yakima County. The company's last general rate increase became effective on January 1, 2019. |
