Tariff revisions to recover increasing disposal fee costs. On January 1, 2022, disposal fees set by Columbia Basin, L.L.C. will increase from $53.26 per ton to $54.72 per ton at the BDI Transfer Station. The tariff revision also revises rates to reflect the increase in the state B&O tax rate from 1.5 percent to 1.75 percent (0.25 percent increase) that went into effect on April 1, 2020, on the disposal fee portion of rates. The company provides regulated solid waste collection service to approximately 5,500 residential and commercial customers in Benton, Franklin, and Walla Walla Counties. The company’s last general rate increase became effective January 1, 2018. |
