| Summary | Petition for an exemption from WAC 480-07-520 and proposed general rate increase that would generate approximately $400,000 (5.5 percent) additional annual revenue to recover the increased cost of disposal fees set by King County. On January 1, 2017, disposal fees will increase from $120.17 per ton to $134.59 per ton at the King County Landfill. In King County, the monthly commodity credit for residential customers would decrease from $1.13 to $0.62, a rate increase of $0.51 per month, and the monthly commodity credit for multi-family customers would decrease from $0.25 to $0.14 per yard, a rate increase of $0.11 per yard. In Snohomish County the monthly credit for residential customers would decrease from $1.04 to $0.54, a rate increase of $0.50 per month, and the monthly credit for multi-family customers would decrease from $0.25 to $0.13 per yard, a rate increase of $0.12 per yard.
