Less than statutory notice request of tariff revisions for Pierce County Refuse that would generate approximately $373,500 (1.6 percent) additional annual revenue to recover the increased cost of disposal fees set by Pierce County Recycling, Composting and Disposal, LLC d/b/a LRI (LRI). On March 1, 2023, disposal fees will increase from $171.23 per ton to $174.84 per ton at LRI. The tariff revisions will further generate approximately $11,800 (0.72 percent) additional annual revenue on Joint Base Lewis-McChord to recover the increase in cost of disposal fees set by LRI. On March 1, 2023, disposal fees will increase for Joint Base Lewis-McChord from $128.71 per ton to $130.75 per ton. Additionally, tariff revisions for a $1.39 increase (credit decrease from a debit of $0.84 to debit of $2.23) per month for residential recycling customers in Pierce County, and a $0.26 increase (credit decrease from a debit of $1.21 to debit of $1.47) per month for residential recycling customers on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The Company serves approximately 61,200 residential, 5,700 commercial garbage, and 190 drop-box garbage customers in Pierce County, and 5,000 residential customers on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. |
