Less than statutory notice request for Tariff revisions for disposal fees set by the Green Earth Technology for Yard Waste Only. On February 1, 2025, disposal fees will increase from $67.00 per ton to $69.00 per ton at Green Earth Technology. Yardwaste subscription costs are not increasing at this time. The Company serves approximately 4,100 Yardwaste customers in Whatcom County. The Company's last general rate increase became effective on June 1, 2021.
The proposed revised tariff pages also include the utility tax increase adopted by the City of Bellingham on December 9, 2024. The gross receipts tax is increasing from an effective tax rate of 12.99% to an effective tax rate of 20.85%.
